The poster who went by the name of "Music City Bulldog" passed away this morning.
One of the nicest people I've ever met.

Ugh. So sad. Extremely positive and nice guy. I always enjoyed catching up with him in St Louis and elsewhere. Condolences to his great wife and those around him.

Met him a couple of times. Really nice guy. He was posting on here within the last couple weeks, must have been something unexpected.

Very sad. He was always upbeat and very optimistic. I remember a few months ago when Nashville had the tornado and he was missing for a few days Drake could use more fans like him

Wow, I am in shock and have this empty feeling. We had our love of music in common and shared that with our posts and in private messaging. He was the one guy who knew who and what I was talking about in our common love. He was a really nice guy. So very sad. I will miss him and his posts, especially about his trips to see Drake games. Dub, wasn't he only in his 50s or so? Did a family member contact you? Terrible.

I'm guessing he was in his mid 60s. I was contacted by another member of this board who didn't have time to post anything, and then I saw it on Facebook. Great guy and great fan. He didn't even go to Drake, or grow up in Des Moines, but he had a true love for the Bulldogs....and life in general.

Horrible news! So sad and sorry. Thanks for sharing this. I will miss seeing him at SIU when Drake played its annual road game vs. the Salukis. He was one of the great members of this board. I don't remember him ever sharing a negative thought or frustration when it came to DU basketball.
Are you talkin to me?

Wow, so sorry to hear that news. MC was a tremendous Bulldog supporter. Always knew any game within a 5 hour radius of Nashville that included Drake, he was going to be in attendance. Rest easy MC!

Dub, wasn't he only in his 50s or so? Did a family member contact you? Terrible. A personal anecdote, if I may. My cousin's uncle (a first cousin, but, the other side of his family) was a world famous jazz alto sax player, going back to the 40s. He was considered an innovator on the instrument, played with the greatest names in jazz around the world, and was always in the top 5 vote getters in the Playboy poll every year, and I believe he won once or twice. He played in to his 80s and passed away this past Spring at age 92. I private messaged Music to talk about him, but I never heard back, which was the first time that had happened. Even though Music made one or two posts after the p.m., and hindsight being what it is, I should have thought that something was going on, because the man was such a force in his field, that there is no way that Music would not have wanted to talk about him. So sorry that I didn't check with Music to see if all was well. Life is too short.
