Likely a Larry Blunt pursuit. Was recruited by Quinnipiac out of high school.

Final 14? That’s funny! So does that mean that we have offered?

I can only assume so. Gotta think this would be a tough one since we can’t get the New Jersey product out to visit at the moment but hopefully the coaches (and admissions department?) are able to create a creative solution for that.

Verbal doesn't list him as immediately eligible but hopefully the cumulative 18 minutes of play (all in November) in 2020 makes for an easy waiver request (if the NCAA doesn't remove sit-outs all together of course)

I think we have a better chance of getting this guy than what you would expect. Apparently he knows the twins?!

+xI think we have a better chance of getting this guy than what you would expect. Apparently he knows the twins?! Looks like he did his prep school year at Montverde Academy in Florida....that would have been when the twins were playing juco ball in Florida. Maybe they played some pick-up ball together.

That very well could be. We can only hope they're pretty close!!

Does any know why he didn't play much and/or why he didn't make it to the teams Italy trip (according to the board). Seems to be mixed feelings on their board, some people are glad he's leaving and most are saying how good of a guy he is but not really saying their going to miss him from a production stand point. Anyone know what the deal with him is?

I tried to look through twitter. It looks like he might have had an ankle injury in the fall and possibly mono in February? But I’m not entirely sure, I was wondering the same.
I also learned he’s of Dominican descent. So that’s neat.

I've watched every video I could find to gauge my opinion. I believe all the footage I viewed was from '17 or '18. He is listed as a 3 star on most sites. For being 6-10, 250 lbs, he is a graceful monster! He is not a hot dog, or ball hog, very much a team player, good passer, hail of a re bounder and takes up space, a force down low, soft touch, from what I could see ... nice looking shot. If there is one thing I could not gauge is how quick gets he get up and down the court. Even if he is 1 sec. slower than Dorkwad (which I don't know) I'm not sure how negative that would effect the offensive flow. He is a dominating human being just to look at. I'm really thinking and hoping the Bulldogs will be in better shape than we were a month ago! Also, he was a hometown guy trying fulfill dreams of being a hero at the local school, a lot folks in his ear. Some not so pleasant, others were like family. Tons of pressure, I think. Drake would be a perfect blessing for the young man. He probably wondering WTF is in Des Moines, IA? LOL! He is going to be surprised just like the rest! HA! With DRock and Co. motivating and helping him continue to hone and perfect his craft, this would be situation from heaven for everybody. I have my fingers crossed!

He’s built like a linebacker but passes like a point guard.

I think just knowing that he'd be getting a ton of minutes will hopefully help persuade him to come here... Let's see. Could be exciting to have someone that big on our side in the valley. Some good news would be nice :)

Agree, there is no place like home, but maybe home isn't the best for him. He played in just three games last year. He might get a redshirt and three years. He is a team player. Why didn't he get more minutes for the number 15 team in the country? Seton Hall had a number of big men including 7’2 senior Ramaro Gill who played 25 minutes a game. Add another 7’2 sophomore off the bench and you aren’t getting any minutes. You want to play small ball? Seton Hall has a 6’10, junior Sandro Mamukelashvili, who can handle the ball and shoot the three playing 25 minutes at the four and another seven at the five. There are a couple of good Northeast programs interested in his talents. Hopefully he sees the benefits of a small Midwestern private school, that is clearly going in the right direction, competing in a solid conference like the Missouri Valley Conference. The only other team you can put in the same category when it comes to conference is New Mexico out of the Mt West. They already have a big man. Final five are Drake, Bryant, Saint Peters, Monmouth and FMU. You would think Drake would have an advantage there.
