Next up: Hosting Milwaukee. Drake defeated them in Milwaukee last season, assume this is a home-and-home series.
The Panthers come in with a 5-3 record including a win against UMKC at home 61-52. They are predicted to finish 7th (out of 10) in the Horizon League this season.
Game will be broadcast on MC22 and ESPN+. ESPN+ Analytics gives Drake an 86.2% chance of winning.
I don't know if the team had a chance to do any practice after getting back from Florida over the holiday weekend or not (obviously they'll get time on Monday). Thus it will be unclear how much knowledge gained from Florida will be shown or if we won't see that until the next game.

Milwaukee's point guard who transferred-in this year from Illinois, Te'jon Lucas is apparently injured (according to the Milwaukee message board). LINKHowever, I don't see any mention of how seriously he is hurt or when it happened. He played 32 minutes of the Milwaukee loss vs. George Washington on 11/24.
Are you talkin to me?

Milwaukee is 238 on Kenpom and 306 on RPI. All but one game, Rice (160), has been against teams solidly in the 200's. Milwaukee plays aggressively on the defensive end. They are 16th in steals, and #1 in non-steal turnovers. Drake has been a turnover machine as they now sit 291st. Milwaukee might be going for the steal, but they also often foul. They rank 349th in sending the opposing team to the line.
If Lucas is healthy, he and Roy will try to be on the floor 80%+ of the time. This team has some height. Three bigs will split the time at the five spot, 6'8, 6'9, 6'10. A bunch at 6'6 and 6'7. Lucas, Abram and Roy 38-40% from three.
For the remainder of the season, Drake better cut back on turnovers and find some consistency at the free throw line (69% and ranked 195th).
Let's hope Drake isn't still on vacation.

I have some ideas but I'm not going to post them as we all know the opposing coaches read out board for scouting purposes.

+xWhere the hail is Kurlander?! MR. Kurlander is still here. Not looking for tarantulas. Have killed 5 scorpions in the house. When the grandchildren came in the summer we caught 4 outside the house. Seeing that it is winter season here the morning temp at 7 AM has been as low as upper 30's and getting some days as high as 60's. I have seen all the games on the computer and have reserved opinion but will not tell you now.
In matters of taste, there can be no disputes.

Drake not boxing out. Nine offensive rebounds and seven turnovers. Plenty more opportunities for Panthers.

Drake gave up 11 offensive rebounds in the first half, shooting 33% on the offensive end and from threee, plus went to the line just five times...made just three. Liam had a nice half on both ends. Milwaukee faster to the ball. Yesufu a nice spark!

Some of these guys look like there under the weather. You go from warm to cold easy to get sick quick no energy.Penn looks sick and tired no energy. That's still no excuse these guys have to suck it up and play.

This is the weirdest unluckiest game I've seen in awhile. Milwaukee is gonna bank one of the rafters for a win
