+xSure hope we can reel this one in 😂 Do we know anything about him? I assume he's good b/c DD is a good coach and likely wouldn't just put him on the team b/c he's his son but... just curious as to what we know.

"An active rebounder with a 40-percent long-range stroke, DeVries projects as a 3-and-D wing. He's not overly agile right now, but he's got a college body and a college shot. He'll only improve as he gets quicker and more comfortable in his 6-5 frame."

Tucker has interest from KANSAS https://twitter.com/matthewbain_/status/1148300464087281666?s=21Probably very minor and preliminary, but hey, wow.

https://twitter.com/coreyevans_10/status/1153319319763410944?s=21Article written by Corey Evans at Rivals about some observations he had at the Adidas Summer Finals. His tenth point talks about coaches’ sons who played well and Tucker is mentioned in it. Very cool getting a national shoutout and it’s clear he is starting to get some notice across the country.

“DeVries, meanwhile, has picked up offers from South Dakota State, Drake and Air Force this week after a strong performance at the showcase in Missouri. He is also hearing from Iowa, Nebraska-Omaha and Kansas.
Yes, Kansas as in the Kansas Jayhawks.
Assistant coach Norm Roberts called him this week.
"He was basically just saying how, at my size and ability to shoot the ball, I could play anywhere," DeVries told me, "and (he) thought in a few years, there's a good chance I would be able to help them."

Very interesting scenario. If he goes elsewhere it seems like kind of a bad look at least imo

I would not be even a little surprised if he went to Creighton over Drake.
Some kids don't want to play for their fathers, but more importantly, his dad coached at Creighton for like 80% of his life, he likely has a stronger connection with them than Drake

I suspect DD has told Tucker to keep his options open and to make his own decision. If Drake's basketball fortunes were to sharply deteriorate over the next 2 years, I guess Tucker might consider Creighton, Iowa, or Kansas a step up. I am optimistic that Drake will continue to do well on the court and that Tucker will be a Bulldog.

Veeny you wouldn't be even a little surprised if he went top Creighton over where his dad is currently coaching? Really? I get that he spent a long time at Creighton but he's now the head coach of what looks like a program on the rise. If he's good enough when the time comes I would be extremely surprised if he picked Creighton over Drake.

I would hope he picks Drake, but we're talking about the Big East vs. the Missouri Valley. I think Drake is on the rise under DD, but the reality is that Creighton is playing Villanova, Marquette, Georgetown, and (soon) UConn on Fox while Drake is playing Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Evansville, and Valparaiso on ESPN+.

Hopefully Drake will keep the recent trend upward going and are winning those games. I’m unsure of the Blue Jay status as they have been up and down since Doug graduated.

I would not be surprised at all if he picked Creighton over Drake. 15 years of his life all he knew was Creighton basketball, Creighton's currently a better program, with a bigger arena, in a better conference. Not everyone wants to play for their father.
