Looks like he was a 2018 Davenport Assumption grad, then a bit played at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita. Offers from Western Illinois and IUPUI, post-grad. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/liam-robbins

A 7 footer from the QC. I'd take another VanDeest minus the injuries!
Did Liam take a gap year after graduation to play in Wichita?

Can't find anything at all about this guy.
I hope he improved a lot in his year at Sunrise.

Looks like he only played in 2 games this past season. Both in November. Maybe injured?

Kind of reminds me of a slightly less athletic will artino. Artino turned into a decent player for Creighton, hopefully Liam can do the same here.

What does getting this guy say about getting both of the overseas guys? Probably don’t want three big guys in one class

I guess he's probably the 'project' recruit that we've seen a fair bit of at Drake. Obvious potential in the frame.

I guess this may be the back up for Nick that I just mentioned earlier if Moors and Gray are "no shows." Otherwise, if Moors and Gray are on board, look for this one to be a red-shirt.

Tall is good. Hopefully he has softer hands but is also more aggressive than some of our recent really tall guys!

Some explanations in this video. I have a friend who is a football coach at Assumption. Waiting to hear back from him on Liam Neeson, I mean Tobbins. https://youtu.be/_94euCbmdn8

All that I could find about his high school career is that he grew 5 inches between his junior and senior seasons and he was honorable mention all-conference.
One of his coaches at Sunrise tweeted something about Liam being one of their most improved players.

Well....you can't find 7 feet every day. Will be nice to have the opportunity to develop it (with what looks to be a nice developmental coaching staff). I like that he's not a bonepile. He has some build in hips and legs. Put some upper body muscle on that frame, and he will really be able to command some space!
Just DU it !
