Blue Valley Northwest is the same high school that Loyola’s Clayton Custer and Ben Richardson attended.

Drake got kind of a late start on this young man, but hope D-Rock and reel him in.

His little brother, Christian, a Junior, doesn't look too bad. Recruit them as a package deal.

The Kansas City area has been a very overlooked recruiting area for many years. Even the best players do not often measure up to Bill Self’s very lofty standards at KU. Marshall may sign one most years for Wichita State. Cuonzo Martin is generally looking elsewhere for his players at Mizzou. And yet there are probably at least 10-12 players per year who sign with other schools spread throughout the country (eg, Loyola). Might be something for the new coaching staff to keep in mind as there is limited competition for the best players.

Not sure how accurate this thing is, but based on this map ( http://mode.github.io/blog/2014-01-21-basketball-hometowns/index.html# ) there are 300,000 males eligible to play D-1 basketball in the state of Missouri. Just 45 actually play D-1 from the state. SWMS four UMKC three Cal, Mizzou and Northern Colorado two --------- Ohio Valley 6 MVC 5 WAC, BIG SKY 4 Mid America 3

FYI, there are almost as many schools on the Kansas side of the state line as on the Missouri side in the KC metro area. On the All Metro first and second teams announced today, 6 of the players are with Missouri schools and 4 with Kansas schools.

Braun looks like he has a ton of potential. Good interior defender. Nice shot. Can even handle the ball pretty well.

+xHis little brother, Christian, a Junior, doesn't look too bad. Recruit them as a package deal. +1 Parker is listed as 6'7" some places but 6'10" in others, it'd be nice if his brother grew a couple more inches in the next year or two too.

Parker is now being recruited by LSU, Arizona and our good friends at Ole Miss.

Visited Illinois yesterday, sounds like Arizona is out. Rumors on Illinois boards are K State and squeaky Weber has the inside track on his younger brother.

Committed to Mizzou as a preferred walk-on. Some family ties to the school and aau ties with Jontay Porter going back for Soph season. https://twitter.com/gabedearmond/status/1002165557683212288?s=12

Agree. So I'm guessing he will redshirt next season or if not won't play at all and Jontay will go pro after this next season. Whatever. I for one will be surprised if he succeeds as a high major player.

Strange recruitment that’s for sure. Visited Nebraska on Sunday/Monday, the insider at the Illini board text him if he was going to commit on Tuesday. There were rumors he was going to he replied “no idea.” That was the quote from the insider.
Just an FYI, Illinois still has 2 scholarships to fill.
