Assume Drake will finish between second and sixth. Finishing second, third or sixth, will put Drake in the opposite bracket of the Ramblers. I've removed the current 7-10 teams... EvansvilleIndiana StateNorthern IowaValparaiso

Illinois' State top two players are out for the season with injuries. They are definitely in jeopardy of falling down to 7th. I don't think SIU or Bradley will fall that low. The question will be if Missouri State can recover from their mid-season disaster.

I thought they were each out for 1-2 weeks, but maybe they gave more info on their broadcast today.

Never said out for the season. Watching made flu time more fun! Chicago Tribune: 5:30PM.... The Redbirds were without junior forward Phil Fayne (left ankle), third on the team in scoring at 15.5 points and the leader with 7.0 rebounds, and junior guard Keyshawn Evans (left knee), second on the team at 15.6 points. "They had two key guys out, but if anyone knows anything about Illinois State, they're very talented," Lottich said.

Definitely wouldn't want to play Bradley, having to beat a team for the third time kinda scares me. Right now I'd say SIU.

If we finish 2nd (and I think we can) we wouldn't play any of these four teams...but rather, the 7/10 winner. Of the four listed...ILL ST is the best option if injuries linger....and if they are healthy...MO STATE might be the team most hanging their heads. I'll take them.
Just DU it !

That could have been the question, but Drake isn't in second place today. I hope it's worth asking after three more games. splitting hairs....but you said, assume Drake finishes second through sixth... ;) I was just pointing out if 2nd...

Might as well take SIU off of this list. They aren't a viable option for 7th while sitting 7-5 and in 2nd place.
I'll take SW Mo. St. They may be loaded with talent and have the best center (Alize Johnson) in the league, but they have the worst coach in the league (Paul Lusk). As we've learned from the Phelps/Giacoletti years, the coaching, or lack thereof, is pretty damn important. We can take SW Mo. St. on any given day.... I also can't stand SW Mo. St.
I'm also quite happy with Evansville sitting in the 7th spot, so I'm fine if nothing else changes.
Are you talkin to me?

For those who have been to Arch Madness in recent years, what is a ballpark cost for an all-session ticket package for Friday, Saturday, Sunday? And the way to go about it is to just call the Drake ticket office, right?

Look on MVCFans.com. Somebody just posted some discount packages that sound pretty good.

+x... ya think?! ha! I keep hoping Darth works up one his gems for us but I think he might wait another game, perhaps 2, before he puts in the time & effort. (hopefully!) I have a spreadsheet that gives the 32 possible outcomes on game18 after 17 games are played. If time allows I'll try to copy/paste results in to a separate message after Feb21. Regardless, we s/b able to infer some ranges of seeding before then. Ironically in the past when the boys' tiebreaker included the incredibly painful "power points" calculation, my spreadsheet handled it properly. Now with the 2nd tiebreak based on RPI you won't know the RPI until the final day (moving target) so my spreadsheet will simply mark those as an RPI tiebraker (if the first tiebreak is still a tie). As for the separate question about tix, the school and the conference encourage fans to purchase directly through the school. I don't know for sure, but I think D is required to purchase at least 300(?) tix for the tourney so they'll eat the cost if fans don't buy from the school ticket office.

Without Wichita State I am surprised the MVC didn't figure out a different seating arrangement. If you include the corner sections I would think they could get everyone comfortably in the lower bowl. My guess the largest school attendances would be Mo State, SIU, Illinois State and let them spill over into the end sections. Would Loyola bring a big crowd being #1 so far, and thoughts of winning Sunday? I always enjoy seeing the UNI folks do that modified Hula dance. No matter where I set there is always some comical Bradley folks nearby, even in the Drake section.
