6'3" guard from Chicago. I think he played at St. Patrick's last year, now transferring to Simeon. Simeon has 6-7 D1 players on the team.

In reporting about the offer to Pinson, "Hoops Report" said, "Coach Niko Medved has always hit Illinois hard in all his stops."

Definitely can handle the ball and pass. Quick. would be a nice player to have when attacking a press.

Winthrop and Kent State offer. A lot of stiff competition with most of the guys we have offered, especially the Chicago area guys. I guess we'll see in this first year how persuasive coach is, as well as how Drake as a University is perceived, especially with guys getting Ivy and other academically prestigious school offers.

Per this article, Pinson will be visiting Drake later this month. I'm guessing he and Messiah Jones will be visiting at the same time. Would love to see Drake get both of them. (scroll to end of article)

Maybe I'm reading it wrong or looking the wrong thing but I think it's only saying that Messiah has a visit set. Although if they're really on him I'm sure it's coming anyway.

He also just posted, "Was just informed by a reliable source that 6'5 2018 PF Messiah Jones is also on campus again at Drake today. Things brewing in DesMoines!"

+xApparently Georgetown is starting to show interest. We beat John Thompson's 1981 NCAA tournament team 73-57 when they visited Des Moines that year. Drake > Georgetown

That Georgetown win was a good one. The good old days. Hopefully we start having more success so we can remember more games like that.
And are we undefeated against the Hoyas?
