Not sure why this is in the smack forum but ... I thought Chuck Reed (sp) did a good job. He spent most of the time correcting the Cot-man and did so in a nice way. I also believe that calling a football game at Drake is tougher than what we might understand. There are not monitors to look at and probably not much info. other than the media guide to prepare for the game.



I did get a kick out of Coach Jack at half time, he got a bit fumble fudged when that asked him about the schedule.

Cotlar's whining about the officials is so annoying across sports.

It is painful to listen to Cotlar. If Drake is serious about building a basketball program they need to get one of the afternoon guys from KXNO.

This announcer on KGLO 1300 is incredible! Hey "Bob the Builder", will you have your buddy David call Sandy and see if she can hire this guy to do Bball play by play? "One of the really good ones, Keith" "Oh My!!!!" "He's a Burner". "hit, pop, FUUMMBBLLLLLLAA, Alabama Football!!!"

Regardless of how good or bad an announcer might be, Drake needs to get somebody who can help to promote the program. The only people I can think of who could do that would be the afternoon guys on KXNO. Brinson is a pro with tons of announcing experience. Miller would probably be good too. The third guy (Cory?) is a Drake grad and would be great, but they probably would never let him promote the Bulldogs.
