I'm not a big softball fan, but I noticed this nice article on future Bulldog.

Speaking of softball, did anyone notice the team picture on the athletic web site? Is there a team hair stylist, or what??!!?? It's like the Stepford dos. Is this the women's equivalent of a guys' team all shaving their heads or sporting a Mohawk? Actually, they're all pretty cute!

Well, speaking of softball, again, I'm sure those of you who follow the team saw that Megan Sowa led the team in hitting by over 80 points (.382 batting avg.) to the next closest player. If one is not aware of it, Megan is from Gurnee, Il, and played at Warren Township High School, which is in the (you know what's coming) North Suburban Conference. Gee, how did the staff initially find out about Megan? Well, I'll spare you the details, so all I'll say is you're welcome.

Megan Sowa was off and running from game one. She didn't start the first weekend of the season, but hit and fielded so well she was made a permanent starter.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more consistent hitter than Megan. Great fielder too.

Everyone but Megan struggled early in the year with a schedule of many BCS schools.

Megan hit a sizzling .392 in the MVC. I think two more games she'd have been over .400. She was that hot.
