Murray lost a close one at home yesterday to Illinois State. Racers are very athletic, but have not come together as a team.
Drake is now #364 in the country in tempo (out of 364). Drake is also last in the country in bench usage. Does anybody else feel like Drake is using the first 10-15 seconds of each offensive possession as a chance to rest guys?
I hope all the minutes don't start to drag our guys down. Obviously, the most logical way to prevent that is to use the bench more, and Mac has talked about using the bench more recently. But, right now, I'm not sure there's anybody but Banks and Ferguson that he trusts coming off the bench.

The NW 4 are used to playing a lot of minutes and you can ‘rest’ on offense but not on defense. Mac’s ideal sequence is to purposely take the whole 30 secs to score with a great shot and then force the other team to take 30 seconds trying to score and take a bad shot.

He was getting some minutes before his injury

I think that most coaches would say the same thing, except for possibly taking the whole 30 seconds to get a great shot. Actually accomplishing that is something Mac has done better than most. Mark Phelps came in here talking a lot about how the Bulldogs would get great shots and force the opponents into bad shots.....never happened. What a disaster he was, set Drake basketball back 10 years when they finally had some momentum.

You gotta feel like a broken record reminding everyone here of this daily, huh? Keep reminding, it'll still for some of these folks soon 😀

One thing coach could start doing is using the media timeouts more for getting certain guys a longer break. For instance a stoppage in play with 8:20 on the clock, take out Stirtz with the under 8:00 media timeout coming and get him a little longer break without missing a many possessions going into the final stretch of a game.

+xTime to start a new winning strike. We get national coverage for tomorrow's game on ESPN 2. We need a solid rebound.

Line is now 9.5
I expect the Bulldogs to be ready to go, especially on the defensive end. Defense was what surprisingly let the 'dogs down on Wednesday.

Interesting that ESPN has Jenny’s top ten ranked Sooners opposite the men’s game on ESPN 2 this afternoon.
Let’s bounce back today!
