Although this may not directly affect DU football, a federal judge has temporarily blocked the expiration of a Vanderbilt player's NCAA eligibility.  Ultimately, the NCAA might be barred from counting JC seasons toward the standard four years of eligibility.

If the bigger programs are allowed to have 6th year players on their rosters, maybe some higher quality h.s. recruits slip through the cracks and go to Drake.

And since the there are fewer and fewer restraints on transfers, I wonder if the Bulldogs next coach will accept upperclassmen.  Recent Drake coaches have shied away from bringing in older guys.

There are probably implications for men's basketball as well.
