This cannot be allowed to happen The NCAA needs to find a solution. P5 teams are not allowed to lose to smaller schools. Unacceptable

Can you imagine if the NCAA finds out Drake starts four D2 guys?

What’s crazy is that none of the 4 are not as good as Trevor Hudgins, Ryan Hawkins, Diego Bernard, Justin Pitts or even Joey Witthus. Mac has recruited and/or developed several ‘D1 caliber’ players in the last 7 years.

I hear you but we got the ones we got so I appreciate the comparison but let's not neg the current players. Again very much appreciate new supporters and enjoy your contributions to the forum, but it's time to ride with these guys. Glad Mac has a history of development but it's the past now.

While I'm aware of the players mentioned, the only guys that Mac has recruited that I care about are the ones currently on Drake's team.

This is not a knock on these 4. We’ve known Mitch, Isaiah and Mitch since they Mac recruited them. Isaiah used to have the same personal trainer as our great niece and we know all their parents.
I just did a poor job of trying to indicate Ben has a history of developing D1 talent.
We couldn’t be happier for them, Ben, his coaches, the guys who stayed around and the ones who transferred in. They’re fun to watch and we can’t wait for our next chance to see them live.

Like in 2005 D had a shot to play Oklahoma State in a ball tourney but it wasn't meant to be. Admittedly I was hoping for a matchup with the Cowboys for nostalgia reasons.

Don't forget to blame the refs.

Vanderbilt and Seton Hall won their QFs, so Drake will play one of those two teams on Sunday (whether it be the championship or 3rd-place game). Either the Liam Robbins Rivalry or the Darnell Brodie Derby. 

Line is down to 3.5, which means more money being bet on Drake.

My question is how long do we fly under the radar as a D2 team?  How many D1 schools do we have to beat before they start taking the Dogs seriously?  And will that matter?

I think he said in an interview that he wears the same outfit every game because it’s one less thing to think about.

The offense is not nearly as efficient today….but still up 32-28 at half.

Considering FAU started out 6-6 from the field, I’ll take it.

Time to impose our will on second half.

FAU looks like a different team this half. Drake going to have to figure out this half court offense against the length. Or else push the tempo a bit more, which certainly does not feel like the game plan today.

Hanging in there. Need something from the bench and we are still struggling at end of shot clock against their defense.
