Intriguing playstyle and project which costs us zero NIL. Great grad and gives us an extra inch in the portal.

Good point on the NIL $. Makes international players slightly more valuable.

I cannot wait to see Simm in this offense. He looks like he could play right away.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that's only for direct contracted work with certain brands etc. I'm not against these players getting paid in any way, but it is a useful tool until bills are passed to change this.

It just requires additional steps for them to receive payment. Is that new? Last I knew international players could only receive NIL outside of the US which is why some teams were taking trips in the summer so that the players could take advantage of those deals. I'm pretty sure that impacted Zach Edey while he was at Purdue.

Apologies for the late reply to this thread, but really neat to see an Estonian player wearing the blue and white! I'm not Estonian myself, but as a Drake student I sang in the Drake Choir, and we spent a few days in Estonia as part of an international tour of sorts. Lovely country! I'd like to go again someday.
Estonia doesn't quite have the level of basketball history or success as its Baltic neighbors (Latvia and Lithuania) - only two NBA players ever, Martin Muursepp in the 90s and Henri Drell for a cup of coffee with the Bulls last season. However, they've been producing more D1 talent as of late - most notably Kerr Kriisa, currently at Kentucky. Hopefully Simm-Marten (SMS?) continues that upward trajectory - could be a real great piece for the Bulldogs the next few years!
