I give up -- you all don't want new people here. Everyone can post snarky responses to my serious posts... but I am not allowed to say a word back. It's a double standard and no actions are taken on posts against me... But I have posts moved or deleted.

You can take away whatever you want from this, but we have had many new folks join the board recently. I was new when I joined in 2013, and went through some growing pains of understanding board norms, learning about the social dynamics with various posters, etc.

One thing I didn't do was bully folks and cast personal jabs at them out of the gate; something that seems to be the norm for your relations to others when they have a differing opinion from you. This is a message board, not an echo chamber. You're allowed differing opinions, and folks are allowed to disagree with you. When you make it personal and/or "challenge" others in ways demeaning to them, that's where it steps over the line and folks here take offense.

It is also the internet, and there are always going to be aspects of online interaction that are separate and undesirable, when viewed from the lens of normal social interaction. That stinks, but is what it is.

I'm sorry you've chosen to take this personally and be affronted, rather than learning and building relationships.

Folks are allowed to disagree with me... I have had good discussions on here. But then I have people making threads directly making fun of me personally. But those are allowed and don't get moved.

New folks should stay far away -- you guys can have your little cult. I doubt I see anyone of you at the important basketball functions, because while some people on this board think they should be worshipped... they aren't the big donors. They are smart enough not to post here. I will go back to joining them with that.
