Brooke Mullins won women's 5,000 meter yesterday at MVC Indoor Championships. Carmen Krawczynski Gonzalez finished 5th, giving Drake two runners in top 8. Centaine Noom-Duckworth and Chinemerem Iwuagwu finished 4th and 5th in the women's weight throw.
Aziz JDai finished 2nd in the men's 5,000 meter with Brogan Giffin finishing 6th at MVC Indoor Championships. Anthony Barmes won the men's weight throw with a 2nd place finish by Adam Phillips and a 6th place finish by Sam Carpenter. The men won the Distance Medley.
The men are currently in 2nd and women are 5th with one day left. Most of the marquee finals are today including the men's mile at 11:40am, women's mile at 11:45am, men's 400 meter at 12:10pm, women's 800 meter at 1:10pm, men's 3,000 meter at 1:40pm, women's 3,000 meter at 2:10pm, men's 4x400 at 2:35pm and women'ss 4x400 at 2:50pm. Drake has chance to win or place in top 8 (scoring spot) in all these events.
