The president and provost have resigned.  Will be interesting to see who comes in.

Small and mid-size private colleges and universities are facing a lot of financial pressure. Inflation is part of it but the biggest culprit is declining enrollments.

A number of midwestern schools are looking for presidents right now.  I noticed St. Louis U. is on that list:  its president will step down in June '25.

Marquette's president died this week.  :(

Declining enrollment is certainly an important factor, but the ones with the largest financial problems are those who went crazy on spending, for buildings and administrators that aren't needed
