Season starts Monday. Lots to be excited for this season. A return to the NCAA is a reasonable expectation
11-6: St. Thomas 11-9: At St. Louis 11-12: Iowa State 11-19: at Iowa 11-24: Louisiana Tech 11-25: Richmond 11-26: Maine 12-2: At Minnesota 11-8: North Dakota State 11-17: Creighton 11-21: At North Dakota
All games will be on ESPN+ exception for Iowa (FS1) and Minnesota (B1G+)
Obviously the top game will be at Iowa and it will be nice to have a week to prep for it. The Thanksgiving MTE at home is a nice addition.

Solid win on opening night.
Q1 reminded me of the Hittner/Rhine days, up 26-8 Q2 we started to regress to some of the bad tendencies from the last couple of seasons Q3 was cleaner I had to leave at the start of Q4 but sounded from the radio we cruised to victory.
Start of three games against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago on Thursday.

It’s wild how much they score when they turn the ball over so much

It's a high risk high reward offense.
Ugly win but a win is a win, especially on the road.
If you don't have tickets for Sunday's Iowa State game get them quick, game is well on its way to a sell out.

If you don't have tickets for Sunday's Iowa State game get them quick, game is well on its way to a sell out. I know it's a high risk offense. We talk about it every year. If it's ok to turn the ball over 20 plus times a game during the year, it will be ok to allow it in the post season. Hard to advance against a top 20 team when they only turn the ball over 12 times. Still love their effort, and enjoyable to watch.

+xIt’s wild how much they score when they turn the ball over so much It's astonishing how fun and frustrating this offensive system is. It's both exactly how I was coached and at the same time the exact opposite (we ran the Bo Ryan/Dick Bennett Swing).

No excuse for most of the turnovers. Not just a risk/reward thing. Foolish/nothing there thing.

Never listened to a Fennelly interview before just now. Now I don't like that dude :) Saying this is probably Drake's biggest home game of the season is typical "we're their super bowl" type stuff bugs me so much, especially when winning regular season titles at home or playing UNI is probably the actual biggest home game. The vibe I got is that if it was solely up to him, he wouldn't play Drake either - just like the men.

It's actually crazy how good the entire state of Iowa is in both womens and mens bball. All 4 mens and womens teams have a really good chance of making the tournament. Fennelly is a good coach but I agree he's definitely kind of a douche. Back to the St Louis game I know some are calling it ugly but a win over a tournament team from last year on the road is a good win however we get it done. Man it would be great to knock off Iowa State.

Iowa State has an extremely young team and just had another player leave the team for "mental health reasons." Drake should win this game.

Don't care that ISU is a young team. That was a solid win for Drake against a good program. First half it was speed, toughness and execution that gave Drake a 20 point lead. Second half, Cyclones became a more physical team and punched the ladies in the face. Wasn't until midway through the fourth quarter that the 'Dogs fought back.
Excellent job of having a fraction of turnovers compared to the previous games!
On to Iowa City next weekend. Hawkeyes win at UNi 94-53.

Thought we were in trouble early in the 4th but man those girls are pretty resilient. Big girl from Algona for Iowa St is a beast. Basically unstoppable. I love how our women are always pushing the pace. I think that was the difference in the game. We wore them down bit.

And Iowa will likely be ranked #1 by the time we play 'em next week. I wonder if we'd be Receiving Votes? Iowa State was receiving votes.
