We may have a new commit. 6’1 Jr from Cal St Northridge. Just posted a picture on Instagram in a Drake jersey with “#NewHome” as the caption. Haven’t seen anything else yet. Averaged just under 17 ppg.

Nice find! Would be a MASSIVE pickup!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr9BeN6ubGC/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkMy quick math says he has an extra COVID year so has two years of eligibility remaining.

Bad Team last year, not sure what to make of his stats. Usually, with a great FT% you should have a higher 3 pt% but 2 seasons of 30% shooting is probably his average. I think with all our talent, hopefully his game, assists, and shooting efficiency improve. Impressive finish to the season, we added another good scorer Him and Conor should be good combo when we go small.

Judging by stats, he's a 2, not a point guard

Daaaaang, a nice surprise! With those numbers, I bet he would have been 2nd team or higher all conference if the team as a whole was better. And it ain't even a Tuesday

Exactly the guy we need to penetrate and create space for shooters. Great get!
Interesting to see if his percentages go up when he isn’t the only option aka crazy utilization

Both of our portal transfers appear to be players who will contribute right away.

I wonder who else was after him. Either way, great sign to get a southern California kid to Des Moines.

+xJudging by stats, he's a 2, not a point guard I am not a big Cal State Northridge fan, but this guy reminds me of a poor man's Joe Yesufu. He probably can handle well enough to play point and also provide a scoring option when DeVries is not scoring. I am guessing he was required to score given the talent level of his teammates, but would not have done so as frequently had he had help. Hopefully he is okay with a support role and is not expecting to be the guy.

I'd much prefer he have the potential to drive and dish more like Penn and not Yesufu. Agree, it doesn't appear he had too many guys to pass to at Northridge. His high school reel shows he has the ability to play point and pass.

Yep - I pulled up a couple snippets of their games last year and he didn't exactly have better odds passing than taking it himself. I trust the staff and Connor to be able to push that part of his game. At minimum he'll be able to get defenses to collapse. With the shooting we can put on the floor, that's gonna be fun to watch. He also had 77 rebounds as a 6'1" G serving as the primary scoring option. Interesting
