The University's 24-hour giving campaign starts today at noon. In addition to the collective, this is a nice way to support the Bulldog Club and encourage other alums and fans to support the athletic department as a whole.

Let's celebrate the Dogs with some donations...

• $12, $120, or $1,200 in honor of #12 Tucker DeVries being named Larry Bird Player of the Year
• $24, $240, or $2,400 in honor of the current number of Drake MBB wins.
• $119 in honor of the current number of wins under Head Coach Darian DeVries since 2018.
• An amount corresponding to any of our players' jersey numbers (just at least put a "1" in front of any amount in honor of DJ)
• Or a gift of your own personal significance. Engagement is the name of the game for this campaign so let's make it happen!

I'm confused about what relationship, if any, there is between the All In Giving campaign and the DU Collective. Is All In siphoning money that would otherwise be going to the DU Collective? Personally, I would prefer that my donation goes directly to the student athletes so that Drake can continue to have a competitive basketball program.

No relationship.

All-In is a one day giving campaign that Drake does every year.  

There are lots of ways to give to Drake.

You can give to the school directly.

You can give to a specific academic department.

You can give to a specific scholarship program.

You can give to the Bulldog Club (athletics)

You can give to a specific athletic team.

You can give to the Lacy Challenge (funds for further renovation of the Knapp Center)

None of these siphon from each other....you're free to give however you want.

The All-In is not an athletic department thing, although if you donate, you can specify it to the athletic department

Just to clarify, no Drake administered fund can siphon from the collective, as the collective is not administered by the school.

"Siphon" was a poor choice of words on my part. Operating at cross purposes would have been more appropriate phraseology.

I guess it all depends on whether people want to donate to the school or donate to the collective (or neither).  I'll probably do both.

Got to figure as well that for everyone that donates to athletics or the collective, there are several more that have no interest in either but still want to show support for other Drake specific departments or the school overall.
