The previous AD seemed focused on nonscholarship football and the PFL.  No idea whether that remains the school's goal.  

Can anyone find a copy of their feasibility study online?

They are forming the exploratory committee now. If they haven't done that feasibility study in the last year, they better re-do it with how fast everything is changing in college athletics between NIL, etc.

A short bit more here. If they’re looking to establish conference stability, that doesn’t scream PFL. Would guess they really would like to make the MEAC work. They aren’t an HBCU but are primarily minority and would probably fit in well enough.

Agreed. I would think that joining Tennessee State in the OVC might also be attractive for Chicago State.  Those women's tennis trips will be less expensive if they can go to suburban St. Louis, rather than Baltimore.

Either way, they won't get a conference ticket punched without football.

Few schools want to join the OVC while conference's lawsuits drag on...and on...and on.

I'm honestly surprised the OVC has survived this long.

Everyone wants to be D1. Not everyone wants every D1 school. Hence, the OVC.
