+1 He’s got Bucky like qualities, but I think he might be a better athlete. As Dub mentioned, his playing time increased over time and his numbers improved.
A hungry big like this, who displayed development in his Freshman year, will only increase competition for the other bigs in practice.
Will we see two bigs at a time…Brodie/Ferguson/Issa/Eric, plus 6’7 DeVries in the game at the same time?
All of a sudden Drake, for the next three years, has some serious height.

This allows Tucker to play the point forward, warriors have draymond, mavs luka, Heat-butler and then Tatum-sf, DeRozen-sf, Gianni’s-sf-pf. Just the way the game is going. Then load up with shooters and a good combo pg-which Enright was in HS. Brodie and Issa at the 5, with ferg and this guy as stretch bigs. Additionally this guy may put it all together, Northweather is a different big body type we don’t have yet.
This may become the new norm for mid-majors, scouting the lower levels for freshman transfers. Basically, with the portal it’s like adding a juco or having a kid attend prep school except they use a year of eligibility

The dork announcer calls him by the correct name at the beginning of the game and then starts naming him Eric McKnight .. prolly a Chicago prack.

At a minimum, this gives us some depth, options, and competition for playing time. Even if his PT and contributions are modest this year, this rounds us out and helps a lot more than adding another 6'2' guard. Love it!
Just DU it !

Yes, I think this kid is going to be diamond in the rough. I'm sure they are to going slap some meat on him though he appears to have some decent slabs as is. Not sure about quickness, the game is going to speed up ... we'll see how he reacts. Great handles for a big. Also wonder about his psyche, hope he is mean sumbatch and tougher than nails. I believe this is a great get! In DRock We Trust!!!

At least he should provide some competition for Brody at the 5. Brody will have to work if he wants to play. I assume he is being viewed as the backup or starting 5 or why would we have signed him?

I am absolutely glad to see Eric commit. With Tank and Murph gone, we need to replenish the front court.
Having said that, we desperately need another pg. There is no proven pg behind Penn, and Penn has bad feet. Some are high on Enright, and I’m not sure why. Please convince me.

Well not sure we really have any idea at this point. But I’m certainly not going to be down on him before he even steps on the court.

@prescottdog Because when the best pg from lake county, ILL is Jalen Brunson, then a few seasons later Conor comes along and is better passer you just know! Also Conor can score but also had ebude-SIU big guy, Baker-3pt shooter was at a D2 school in st Louis, and others. Conor did pick up his scoring in big games, and would tally plenty of assists in other games.

I’m really excited to watch Enright Mix It up. His passing and nose for the ball seem like he’ll be a lot of fun to watch.
learning behind Ro for a couple years isnt bad either

However, I watched this kid play. Defensively, Conor is tenacious!! He reminds me of Jerry Sloan. DeVries compared Enright, on the defensive end, to 2 time MVC all-defensive-player-of-the year, Bryan Mullins, now head coach at SIU. I probably watched him in about a handful of games, not highlights. The kid is a true point guard who can not only finish, but he gets the ball to the right place and doesn't turn the ball over. Will he deliver like that at the college level? I'm excited to find out. Plus, this is a kid who signed with Drake as a Sophomore! He wanted to be here. With all the scum bags out there, I'm sure he was approached by other programs his junior and senior year to reconsider. He stayed with the 'Dogs! He chose Drake University, not The University of Drake.

PD i just got back from the Windy City, and i stopped by my fav hot dog stand. I asked for a couple of Prescott Dogs, and they said they were sorry, but it would be a couple of weeks before their supplier could furnish any. Dang!

What a concept! In an effort to get it back on topic, here's a video of him hitting seven 3-pointers in a high school game http://www.hudl.com/v/2H6g1D
