He is not listed any more in staff directory and h r has listing for an assistant men's basketball coach.

I guess it would make sense as it seems like he's an up and comer, young guy. But just seems a little odd when you compare it to the recruiting news as I assume he is the lead recruiter on Jenkins. Just doesn't jive, but I guess we'll see.

But, is there really any recruiting news regarding Jenkins?  The only place I've heard his name connected with Drake is via Matthew Bain. Bain seems like a good guy, but I don't really think he has much insight into Drake's recruiting.  He had multiple columns last season where he listed Terry Roberts as somebody Drake was after, but (according to VerbalCommit), Drake never offered.

He reported it pretty matter-of-factly, which isn't always the case with him. Which is why I'm not totally dismissive of it, but I can blame anyone who is.

Not sure that's really a step up, although North Texas did beat the Bulldogs this season.

I hope DD moves quickly to fill this opening.

That is sort of an interesting move. Although McCasland is destined for a higher job as well so I suppose I could see why he’d want to hitch his wagon there.

Funny story.  I saw North Texas play in Orlando. McCasland came across as legitimately unhinged on the sideline. Not in a Bobby Knight or Frank Martin angry manner either. It was like he was having a manic or psychotic episode or something. I specifically remember saying to my friend "could you imagine being an assistant for that guy?"

If he wasn't still playing professional ball in Europe, I'd absolutely love to see Josh Young on the staff.

Maybe DD can bring in a juco coach who can bring some players with him.

Yeah... if it was advancement he was looking for, I don't blame him for leaving...only way DeVries is leaving town at this point is on his own accord. Not a fan of short stints like that by players or coaches, but I'm happy with what we have. Good luck coach

Not sure if he's gotten any players for Drake.  The only two recruits to sign while he was on staff were Will Loving-Watts and Sardaar Calhoun....not sure if AC recruited either one of those guys.
