During both the men's & women's tournament broadcasts, the commissioner joined the telecasts. Not all details for next season with the 3 adds have been finalized but he did say 20 league games per team is all but finalized. The exact mechanics of who you face and how often still being worked out. Additionally, Arch Madness/Hoops in the Heartland seeding & format still being determined but expect 4 games on Thursday.

So Drake night will no longer exist. Perhaps it will now be called Evansville day.

I know cusa scheduling had 2 open games. They scheduled the top teams vs each other.

Des Moines is hosting in the 2022-23 NCAA tournament round of 64 and 32. The four Iowa D1 schools might be able to attract four big name schools to four neutral site games similar to Drake's visit to Atlanta against Clemson.

It would be kind of cool to create and Iowa VS. day at the Well. Unite all 4 fan bases, and bring in solid opposition for 2 sessions. Illini and NW did this a few years ago at the UC then NW and Iowa teamed up the following season. Not sure you make it an MLE. Maybe find an organizer so each visiting team could have an additional game before or after the event.
Anyways that gate revenue is always the obstacle

Maybe not super in depth but can't really argue w/any of this. With so many transfers amongst all the teams we have no idea what we are getting in Murray and Belmont. Mo State losing Prim and Mosley. If we stay healthy we are easily the clear cut favorite.

Told Jacobson said in an interview that he might get picked up at the next level. If not, he'll probably be living in Ames playing BIG12 basketball.

Thought Duke was also still in the mix. If that's really true ( no idea) then why would he go to Iowa State if he's coming back to college. And yes, I know his dad is an assistant coach. Iowa State has lost all their best players. He's not an NBA player (or even close) but could probably go play overseas and make a pretty good living.

My, very biased, opinion would say that AJ Green would have a harder time finding playing time and shots at duke. At least in comparison to what he would get at ISU.

Green says he’s staying in the draft.

If he doesn’t get drafted, can he return to UNI or still transfer to another school?

Seems like he is getting some bad advice, but what do I know.

I think there's something to be said for turning 22 and simply wanting to move on from college after 4 years. While I'm sure he has NBA aspirations, his decision may not be as black and white as "does this help my NBA hopes or not".
I'm sure glad our guys don't mind sticking around a little longer though :)

Good point Colonial. And he’s also had the hip injury, so maybe wants to get out and make money and see how it holds up.

Green will get a 2 way contract at worse because of his potential when healthy. All you have to do nowadays as a bench player with greens skill set is sink some 3’s and use your fouls wisely. Since he entered the draft I’m sure he got that 2 way contract or a better promise.
