Here is someone with only Phaydavong size. But he has Phaydavong speed. https://twitter.com/calebtexada?lang=enAt this point, his one and only D-I offer may be from Drake. Coach Smith is on the job. Hope he wasn't scheduled to visit for the Stetson game. Ivy Leaguers have shown interest too. BTW, I think Scott P. is currently an assistant coach at SE Polk.

Not relevant to recruiting, but I was unsure where to put this. Declan Carr has announced his transfer. https://twitter.com/declan__carr/status/1462920922852114436

After transferring, I hope he can make more of an impact than his brother Patrick (9 games, 1 assisted tackle at Northern Colorado).

A number of PFL teams will reveal a list of commitments on Dec 15th, which is the early commitment day for letters of intent. From Twitter, it looks like St. Thomas may be eating our lunch with Iowa kids.

Good open field runner. It looks like he was a receiver during his junior year, before switching to quarterback as a senior. He'll probably move back to receiver at Drake.

+xSince when did Drake become a Christian college ? Affiliation with the Disciples of Christ ended long ago. But to answer your real question, the athletic department became Christian when SHC was athletic director. She hired Chris Creighton...who hired Fox...who hired Stepsis and others. So SHC is gone, but the tradition carries on with the football team. The coaching staff is packed with evangelicals, and they like to recruit like-minded people. Or is it that non-evangelical recruits are scared off? 20 years ago, we had Rob Ash, the son of a minister. But he never wore it on his sleeve like Creighton/Fox. No doubt another factor is the growth of non-denominational Christian academies. 30 years ago, I only noticed them in the South, where they looked like a reaction to school desegregation. Now they're seemingly everywhere.
