The game notes do not mention Ian Corwin, other than putting him #1 on the depth chart.  Nienhuis isn't even listed on the depth chart, so what they offer is worthless.  And of course, this is Drake football, so there have been no media reports about an injury to the Bulldogs' starting quarterback.

Anyone know the nature of his injury and his status going forward?

I believe both QBs you mentioned above are injured and would not have played this weekend...  Gives them time to rest, and the offense more time to work...  50 yards of passing offense in two games is not gonna get it done.

This is truly a season like no other.

Very true...that's why they need to take advantage to get things ready for fall 2021...  a more balanced offense is needed and less predictability

I watched a decent amount of both games played. Agree with DawgsRus.....need more balanced offense. Also, it seems as if on handoffs, the back kept running up the middle quite often into a brick wall, and they kept on running the same thing, time after time. They were more successful running to the outside, so it seemed, but kept running ahead into that immovable object.
Mix it up coach. I think I saw one or two slants in both games, and no passes up the middle.
Can't deny the defense their due, though.

Hasn't Wherritt been offensive coordinator for just two games?  So while he's no rookie to the coaching profession, I think he's still on his honeymoon as Drake's OC.  His seat's not yet hot enough to bring in Dog67.

;)

Maybe Dog67 can be in the box and call down plays? Lol
Not to be overly critical but it is a profession and the lowest offensive output in maybe ever week 1 when you have a great chance to take down USD... and week 2 saw some of tha same. I hope things start to get figured out and a more balanced output starts to shine. This season is a precursor to 2021 so let’s improve each week and get the passing game going
