The first lesson of economics is scarcity. There is never enough of anything to satisfy all those who want it. The first lesson of the NCAA is to disregard the first lesson of economics and steer as hard left as allowable under the law. All while maximizing profits with "partners". It's a honk'n joke and private Universities throughout the country have loyal fans that love the NCAA and will always bow to them. Sounds real familiar to another scenario. Unfortunately, much of the social history and policy making of the NCAA over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is, he confuses it with feeling. Intellect is not wisdom.
