Drake is #124 in the annual USNews national university ranking, up from #130 in the previous edition.

Why is purported peer school Gonzaga in the top-100, but Drake isn't?  Obviously, the difference is basketball.  

#144 in WSJ. WSJ includes everyone in one category, so it’s like being #100 in USNWR.

Among their components, Drake ranks #114 for resouces, #146 for outcomes, #186 for engagement, and #345 for environment. Due to changes it was is being publshed and the lack of survey data due to the pandemic, there's some old data in the calculation.

So Drake is #144, but aspires to be #171.  Or maybe #166?

That would be almost as screwy as listing five Catholic schools as Drake's direct competitors, and Gonzaga as a peer school.

Btw, my comment on Gonzaga and basketball (1st post in thread) was meant to be sarcastic.  WSJ put them at #211, which is about right.
