Devin Cates did his pro-day yesterday, and put up some really good numbers. I also looked up how he would have compared to the TE's at the NFL combine in Indy.

Height: 6'4
Weight: 255
Hand size: 10.5 inches
Wingspan: 77.25 inches
Bench: 26 reps (#1 in Indy)
40 yard dash: 4.59 and 4.64 (#2 and #3 in Indy)
20yd shuttle: 4.203 (#2 in Indy)
cone: 6.9 (#2 in Indy)
Broad jump: 10'1" (T-4th in Indy)
Vertical jump: 36.5" (T-2nd in Indy)

Nice job, Devin!

He's done some bodybuilding since walking in the door as a 215-pound freshman.

He's done some bodybuilding since walking in the door as a 215-pound freshman.

Devin came in at about 215 and last year played at about 245.

Eric Saubert came in at about 218 and left at about 252. Very similar.

These guys are affectionately known as the "Unicorn" because they are damn hard to find. Luckily for Drake, they found 2 of them.

I am a little surprised he's put 10 pounds on since the end of the season, but with that personalized training he was doing in Florida, it sure seemed to have worked. Those are some impressive numbers.
