Winning there would have been sweet. Drake will get one, maybe two more opportunities. Heads up!!

+xTerrible loss in many ways I'm going to disagree with you there. It is an absolute heartbreaker that we lost on a buzzer beater and didn't score in the final 2 minutes. However, 5 minutes in it looked like we were going to lose by 30. Over the course of the rest of the first half and into the second half we finally learned how to play defense. This was the best team we have faced at minimum in Jennie's tenure probably longer. Tonight on the floor we made the next level jump Jennie has talked about defensively. If we can combine the defense we learned tonight with the offense we had against UNI we can get to where we want to be. If you don't have tickets to the rematch at the Knapp on Sunday, February 9 get them.

awful officiating.
They miss Franklin grabbing Collier and throwing her to the floor. Let her get an uncontested rebound and then a lay-in. What was the underneath official looking at??????
During media timeout they fix the complete miss on an intentional foul, but can't take the points off the board. That matters on a game that comes down to the final play.

How about the older female official calling, from beyond mid-court, a DU foul on an offensive rebound of a missed MSU free throw while the official less than 8 ft away made no call. She was so far behind the play there was no way she could have actually observed any contact.
BAN THE BALL SCREEN!!! BAN THE BALL SCREEN!! BAN THE BALL SCREEN!!

We took a punch at start and showed toughness and kept fighting. It is a disappointing loss but incredibly satisfying that we came out with toughness and defense. Missouri State is really good and we gave them everything they wanted. Beating them at home won't be easy but if we keep playing like this I like our prospects for the rest of the year. Remember this was the 2 RPI team, clearly not the 2nd best team in the country but legitimately a top 20 team that is basically the same team that made it to the Sweet 16 last year. Wouldn't it be nice if we could do something like that. The Oklahoma game I think got everybody's attention. Now we need to build on this.

We have to get over the turn over bug and playing down to a team that is worse than our team! I don't know but I would say that is a coach problem and the poor defense to. I know I will be hated on for saying the for mentioned comments but have watched ,played basketball and coached some so call it as I see it!

Bulldogs win 73-65. A win is a win, but practice won't be fun this week.

Still, a good road win against a good SIU squad.

If I understand correctly, a decision has to be made between the two schools and get MVC & NCAA approval. Indiana State would have traveled in last night and with the travel partner system it's hard to reschedule. If Indiana State is already here no reason to not play the game.

Drake wins tonight 105-65. Drake dominated start to finish. Drake didn't have a great third quarter after dominating Q2 with an 18-0 run otherwise it could have easily been 130-50.
99th Career MVC win for Jennie.
Mentioned on tonight's telecast, which was plagued with technical problems in the first half, is that Taylor McAulay will be out for an extended time with a back injury.
In bigger news: Southern Illinois upsets #19 Missouri State in Carbondale 70-68

This might be the first time the Valley has had three teams in Creme's predictions. Bradley, alone in first, is now getting a 12 seed in Jan 20th ESPN Bracketology; Missouri State 6th playing in Chicago and Drake 10th in Los Angeles.

+xNot to rain on your parade, but once heard something about not counting chickens before they are hatched Just pointing out the Valley has three teams in bracketology because it's probably not going to happen again, not even next week. Well aware Bradley played the weakest non-conference schedule in the Valley by a mile. I'm well aware Bradley has played nobody in the upper half of conference, YET. By the way, UNI is second on the next four out. Braves next will play home against UNI and Drake, and a trip to Missouri State.
