What we know:
Drake will be good. Real good. Undefeated for the past 2 years, but had to replace Lizzy & Caitlyn last year and did so w/ relatively minor hiccups along the way. Need to replace Paige this year who by all reports was a true leader on and off the court, but has a deeply experienced crew following her.

UE will remain a flaming dumpster fire. The only thing that has changed is loosing a couple of their best players. Seemingly, it just doesn't matter. ESPN3 exposed what a tough environment they have to play in, I can't see that getting any better w/o a significant change in leadership.

Virtually everyone else in the conference will be solid.

MSU lost their best player, but she didn't have a stellar senior campaign. They have a strong recruiting class coming in. We need to see them on the court to evaluate how well they integrate w/ the returning team.

UNI, will always be solid. Tanya Warren will have a team ready to play. May be a bit short on talent or bodies, but what they have will be ready to go.

SIU, Cindy Stein has always been solid since she arrived in the MVC.

Loyola, ISUr and Bradley all look to be better than last year. They all came into tough situations (particularly Loyola), but all seem to be on the right track.

Valpo is still adjusting to the conference switch. New coaching was needed and it will take a bit to see how well they have chosen. Indiana State also needed some fresh blood and we will see how much progress they can make the first year.

Drake is picked again to win the MVC.  MVC poll is just out.
