A quick look at Twitter shows over a dozen offers by DU.  Some were a stretch (one prospect recently committed to Northwestern).  Other offers targeted relative unknowns.

Bad news:  Drake Stoops, who has the best name since Drake Dunsmore, will not be a Bulldog.  He'll go to a FBS program.
Good news:  his twin brother, Issac Stoops, is a legit Drake prospect at DB or receiver.  In addition to Drake, he has offers from Army and some D-II schools so far.

Yes, Issac is the son of Former Iowa Hawkeye player (and former Oklahoma coach) Bob Stoops.

The one Drake commitment I see is from WR/DB JaKobe Davidson of Hutto, Texas.  5-10, 180.

Drake has offered a QB from the State of Washington, and players at other positions from Des Moines, KC, StL, and of course, Chicagoland.

Go Bulldogs.

Johnny Hill, from Bondurant, has also said he is going to be a Bulldog.

Just wondering but since Drake does not give football scholarships, what are they actually offering? Is the offer a spot on the team?

Yes, a spot on the team.  A lot of the players probably get some kind of aid.  Because Drake's program is non-scholarship, a lot of people think it's more like a "club" team where there are open tryouts among the student body.  But, even though it's non-scholarship, every player on the team has been recruited specifically to play football for Drake.

The Pioneer essentially follows the same rules on financial aid as D-III schools.  Athletics are not supposed to be a consideration in academic metit aid.

Most of Drake's players turned down partial athletic scholarships elsewhere (NAIA, D-II, and/or FCS).  So their college education costs more than it would have at the state teachers college.

Being a former Drake football player I can attest to this. Basically it is a spot on the team although each player is specifically recruited and recruited hard. Athletic money definitely does not play into academic scholarships at all. I along with many other players were actually given less money academically than regular students if you needed an example.

No way the stoops kid comes to Drake. I think Bob will have a big pull on his decision and I don't see Drake being large enough for that name. I hope I am wrong and we get the kid. Looks like a pretty good player.

He just visited Northern Illinois, so that one is going to be tough.

Great highlights. Love the way the kid can change direction, find the holes, bounce off the tacklers....He really has a nose for the goal line.  Looks like a good one.

Had my fingers crossed on that one.  :)

Wendling's h.s. coach played at Tarleton State.  Although that coach missed playing under (former Bulldog) Craig Wederquist at Tarleton by 3-4 years, I'm sure he heard about Craig and where Craig was from. And maybe he had positive things to say about Drake.
