Iowa State's volleyball team will play its home games this year at Ames High School (capacity 2000) due to flooding at Hilton Coliseum (capacity over 10k). I wonder if ISU and Drake would have any interest in moving some ISU VB games to the Knapp Center this year. ISU hosts Neb. on 9/15 in a game on ESPNU, and as far as I can see the Knapp Center is empty. Last year ISU drew over 10k when they hosted Neb. If ISU-Neb could draw half that number at the Knapp Center, I'm sure DU and ISU could work out a revenue split that would benefit both schools, DU would generate a lot of goodwill by helping out a nearby school, and DU could get national exposure with their facilities featured on ESPNU. Sounds like a win-win to me.
As for ISU basketball, they start playing exhibitions in about ten weeks. I wonder what they'll do if Hilton isn't ready for the basketball season. I'm guessing they'll have to play men's and women's games in a half-empty Wells Fargo Arena.

| Mecha the jack of all trades. Not only is he a fill-in for Scott Kerr and the Drake training staff, but he's also ISU's Athletics Events Planner.
