| | Not that I would ever read any other football board; but I have been told that the LeHigh fans and fans of the PL are looking at the game with Drake as a sure win. If someone wanted to charge the young men up, they could find all of the material they ever needed on that other board. Winning this game should give us some National Respect. |

| I had to search for an example. Although relatively few Lehigh fans post on message boards, I found this.
I'm still surprised Lehigh offered Drake a return trip. Drake historically has been at the bottom echelon of FCS football. A LU victory will count for nothing more then your average road win. A road win that's 1,000 miles away.
Drake's record in FCS (and I-AA, as it used to be known) is 134-92-1. Lehigh is 147-90-1 for the same years.
Drake lost a high percentage of those games in the 1980s. Conversely--looking at Drake's FCS years--the Mountain Hawks have never been worse than right now, with three consecutive losing seasons.
