|
Gordon Gottschalk (5/17/2010) I was talking only about filling the last scholarship with a big because I am absolutely astounded by the quality of recruits coming in at all other positions.
Big Sitting Bull's comment about 6'8"s and 6'10"s is dead on. We have plenty of 6'7'-6'8" talent/potential on the bench and, being appropriately reprimanded by "there's more than iron in the pants", I am no longer concerned in the slightest. I would say I now feel like an Angels fan, but they are playing like the Cubs.
Yeah talents looking good, but even the Cubs haven't changed there name to the Illinois cubs of north central Chicago.
Blown out by the worst team in the valley in back to back games equals Homer is phriken Dun!

| Update on Adam Woodbury...
Sounds like Iowa is pressing hard for him after his visit to Iowa City last Sunday, not so good for Drake (if we were ever really in the running to begin with).

| | That's OK - at least we're trying. I do have to give Coach Phelps credit - he goes after the talent and doesn't give up just because the Bigs are them. And we do have Rayvonte, Ben, Seth and others to show for it. I'm anxious for next year to get a look at Jeffers, Madison and recruit Judd. |

| | Nice article about Woodbury in the Register today. AND his 6-11 Junior teammate. And they have a 6-8 kid on the team too. Would be nice to see them play in state tournament. |

| Woodbury would be on a great team here at DU. He's be a hellva start to reloading. Hope he and his family are smart to look beyond the "mid major" bull crap. This kid would be the sensation in the Valley.

| | And an education at Drake is certainly an advantage - not everyone likes the BIG school atmosphere. |

| Drake touts it's education but there were a few graduates on this board who actually thought we had a chance at Woodbury. Go D+

| Is it true that Peoria's genetic pool isn't large enough? By the way McBulldog...you don't go swimming in a genetic pool so you don't have to look online for a swimming pool in Peoria named genetic.
