Iowa Preps is reporting that Coach Phelps has offered this talented big man. He also has been offered or shown interest from Iowa, Iowa State, Utah, Creighton, and a few others. Sounds like a honk'n great player.

I saw him play in the state tournament his freshman year (same year that Uhlenhopp and Van Deest's teams were in the state tourney). He looked real good for a frosh.

I think that everybody and their brother will be after this kid by the time he's a senior.

Who knows if we have any chance, but at least Phelps is offering. In the past we didn't even bother to go after a recruit like this in our own state. Go Dogs.

Let's hope he takes a page out of Judd's book and commits early. Adam would be coming in when we have great senior/junior leadership. Perfect environment for a really skilled big to start his college career. He'd be a freshman when seth is a senior

if everything proceeds as planned, we'll be THE team by then (including Creighton).
Come on Adam. Seth is the best Big going, join the party.

Van Deest is going to be extremely good if he can put on some muscle in the offseason. It would be very advantageous for a big man to back him up for one year and then move into the starting lineup as a soph. I'm not sure most people realize Van Deest's potential. I don't thin khe was even in the starting lineup in high School as a junior.

Don't pass up the shot.

From what I've heard, Woodbury is raw right now (which is expected for a junior-to-be 7-footer) but he's a very good prospect with the potential to be a great prospect by this time next year. I don't know if he has any interest in Drake, but I'd love to see him commit.

Mecha, I've heard exactly the opposite. I've heard his skill set is way beyond his years and he is going to soar in the rankings as the summer tour goes.

Sounds like a fabulous player. I'm still a little concerned about 2010-11 though. We've swung for the fences on a couple of bigs but so far haven't even dribbled it back to the pitcher. I feel like a Cubs fan.

Is it not just amazing that we used to consider a 6-8" kid a big, and now that we have a multitude, we are worried about not having 2-3 6'10" -7' players. Oh times are good.

I think being #2 on a players list is at least a fly ball to the warning track.

Don't pass up the shot.

All warning track power gets you is a trip to the minors.

A good offense is the best defense....

I agree BB. in the past we have recruited legitimate D-2 talent, or kids that have maybe one D-1 offer.

"Think small be small".

I love that this staff is swinging for the fences, even if some balls only make it to the warning track Drakey!
Shall we go back to D-2 or swing and miss a few times???????

Why would we as a fanbase insinuate that we only hit the warning track? Seems to me that Coach P has hit plenty of homers and even a grand slam or two so far. COME TO DRAKE ADAM WOODBURY!!! YOU STUD BISCUIT!!!!!!!!

The warning track comment was mine in response to GG saying we dribbled it back to the pitcher. If you hit enough balls that get to the warning track, some are going to leave he park.

Don't pass up the shot.

I was talking only about filling the last scholarship with a big because I am absolutely astounded by the quality of recruits coming in at all other positions.

Big Sitting Bull's comment about 6'8"s and 6'10"s is dead on. We have plenty of 6'7'-6'8" talent/potential on the bench and, being appropriately reprimanded by "there's more than iron in the pants", I am no longer concerned in the slightest. I would say I now feel like an Angels fan, but they are playing like the Cubs.

Woodbury's team won the 16's in the Gym rats tournament this weekend in the Des Moines area. Did anybody get a chance to go out & see him? I guess their team is pretty outstanding. It was a pretty big event.
