Glance was an assistant for Kay Yow for YEARS. Kay did everything she could to set up Stephanie as the heir apparent to the job, but NCSU hired Kelly Jolly Harper instead (who had a great first season there). Glance is a good coach. She will field teams that can compete in the Valley.

| dtdog: I have touched a basketball, been inside the Knapp Center, and I am an Alum (MBA) without any serious coaching experience. At some schools, that would almost be all that was required to be a coach, provided that the right big money donors liked me. But that would not qualify me to be a coach at Drake, or at any other MVC school, I don't reckon.
Besides, I don't have to be a coach to get to work with some of the great young women who populate our basketball team, and that's a good thing, because the thought of having my paycheck depend on how well an 18-year-old runs the ball up and down the court makes me a little nervous.
