Alexander is #3
Looks impressive. He is able to create his own shot.
I'm assuming we'd put him at PG? |

| Ballgame2012 (3/30/2010) I'm assuming we'd put him at PG?
From what I've read, the schools that are recruiting him are looking at him as a point guard.
Seems to be a good scorer, but not many 3-pointers, so I'm guessing he drives a lot. Not a lot of assists for a point guard....I think he averaged about 2.5 per game this season.
Maybe he's more of a "combo" guard. I'd like it if Drake could have 2 combo guards on the floor at the same time.....that way, all the ballhandling responsibility doesn't fall on one player.

| You guys should have read more of that original thread.
*EDIT* Couldn't get the link to work.
North Dakota State will have a little international flavor to its men’s basketball team next year via Iowa Central Community College. Kurt Alexander, a 6-foot-2 guard originally from Toronto, gave the Bison a verbal commitment on Tuesday.

That was a couple of weeks ago. According to several messages boards that I've read in the last few days, he has since backed out of that verbal commitment.

I could go for that. From the video, he can be compared to UNI's Ahelegbe. Not a lot of outside shooting but a lot of pull-up jumpers and layups. I hope he is BETTER. I think it'd be fun to see him on the court with David Smith. |

| Looks like he played both 1 and 2 in the video. Looks like he is a good point guard. Great escape from a double team.
Don't pass up the shot. |

| My barber's nephew (I know the jokes are coming) played on this team with Alexander. He said the kid is really good. He wished he would pass the ball more than what he did. Not sure that means anything ... if you are trying to move up the food chain of college bb and your a JUCO ... might need to stack the #'s a bit.

| If the Bulldogs were to sign this guy, I think it would HAVE to be with the understanding that he is going to be the starting point guard.
Don't pass up the shot. |

| Seems like a good get...but if D gets him, have we pretty much abandoned hope that we'll get a "4" or a "5" in the next 2 years? I see envision a 3 guard offense and all three at 6'2" or shorter...could cause (continued) rebounding issues.

| Mc Bulldog (4/4/2010) I believe (have a feeling) DU will have at minimum, 2 open schollies.
That is a really strange "feeling" to have. do you have some basis for this "feeling," or is it just like a vision that came out of nowhere?
Don't pass up the shot. |

I concur, but sometimes kids leave a program to go play baseball at UNI.
