Keeler is blogging about more possible trouble in Iowa City. Rumors are flying that Lickliter will resign due to health reasons, and another round of player defections are coming.

How many of Drake's current players and/or recruits do you think would be on campus this fall if Phelps was gone? I don't think we'd like the results.

| Thank you Mr. 9 posts and 25 visits. I'll take our 2009 and 2010 recruiting classes. More overall talent top to bottom than we have seen in years.
At least our basketball team won more games than our football team this year. That isn't true for the Black and Gold, football won 11, basketball 10.

| | Just because I'm new to "posting" doesn't mean I don't have a valid point. I have been a season ticket holder for 31 years, attend every home and a lot of road games. |

But, according to Jamie Pollard, if you don't donate $$$, your opinion ain't shat.

| | What is the word on Iowa recruit (Larson I think) from Sioux Falls Roosevelt? He's suspended right now from high school basketball for possible serious issues. |

Haven't heard anything from U of I officials.....he was apparently one of several students suspended for reasons that were never publicized. Rumored....and I stress the word rumored, to have something to do with drugs.

Pollard also mentions ticket buying. Are you suggesting that with Drake's weak season ticket market, that 31 years of mostly masochism isn't enough? |

I'm not suggesting anything. If anything, I was poking fun at Jamie Pollard.

| If tomorrows not interesting here in the city, another week will be interesting for all of the wrong reasons. We are talking "no way you could classify any bcs team worse than iowa" bad.

| Iowa message boards are full of guesses as to who the next coach will be, even though there's no proof that Lickliter is gone. One of the names being thrown around by a lot of people.....Keno Davis. One guy even talked about what a great recruiter Chris Davis was.

| Ok bms26, you have just been named AD at Drake with the only vote on a new men's basketball coach.
Who do you hire?

Fair enough. 31 yrs. of misery should buy someone's ear sometime. |

Anybody who has been a season ticket holder for 31 years definitely deserves to be heard.

Yes, he should. As vehemently as he protested when Drake did not hire Close, he should certainly be pushing for Iowa to hire him.
P.S. I believe it is Gary Close, not Glen Close.
