| | I thought it was terrible how we had like 3 or 4 students in our student section for both games. Come on.... you go to Drake, you can afford to drive 6 hours to see your team play! Does Sandy promote the game for students to come? You think they could bring a bus or something. Of course our cheerleaders are no better. They just sit there the whole game acting bored. Lets show a little school spirt! And my last rant... Every other team at the tournament had their drill team there and performed at half, where was Drake's? Even Evansville was there (enrollment 2,000) We need to create more of a "home court" advantage. |

| Unless the students are on spring break, they'd have to miss a couple of days worth of classes to come down to the tournament. I doubt if most professors would consider those to be excused absences. I agree with you 100% on the cheerleaders and (non-existent) dance team.

| | They offered the student bus. No one signs up. It's more of a lack of interest by our fair weather students than dropping the ball by the admins. |

| Stringing together one good season is just not enough to develop any consistent following. no excuse for the dance team and cheerleaders though. since they have to give out X number of female scholarships, they should probably scrap something like "Crew" and give those scholarships to cheerleaders.Tthey all think of themselves as athletes anymore anyway.

| Back in the day, D didn't even bring the band so in fact this has been an improvement.
I'm in total agreement though...more students should represent. However, with an 8th place seeding and a game on a thursday night....

| | Funny how they didn't mind missing classes when we were the #1 seed! I guess they are no different than me. If we had beat UNI I was going to drive over on Saturday morning. When we were up 24-13 I was making my plans. After that, not so much. |

| I remember one year during the Kanaskie years that our band didn't come down, and someone actually had the St. Louis U band stand in for the Drake band. They played the Drake fight song, and were more vocal than any student representation we had down there.
Always remember gents, it could be worse. |

I'm pretty sure KK paid ... made a donation, or whatever, out of his own pocket to get that H.S. band there.
