| Did Drake play last night? I forget.
A win Saturday night gets Drake solidly into the upper half of the Valley. Time to enjoy a rockin' Knapp and get a W.

| | This is by far the biggest game of the season. HUGE. This game will separate the contender from the pretender. Huge game for Drake and Creighton. If Drake wins, it keeps us in the running for a 3rd, 4th, or even 2nd place finish. If Creighton wins, it gives them tremendous momentum and will most likely pull vault them into 2nd after wichita loses to either uni or southern ill on the road. For Drake, it's almost a must win to prevent tumbling down the standings down the stretch. For creighton, it's crucial for them to be competing at the top at the end of the season. It's put up or shut up time. hopefully we are ready becuz CU will have plenty of motivation, even tho they are not in Omaha on sat. should be a dog fight. I can't wait. |

changing the profile name from phirephelps to phelpsphan doesn't make any of the posts less annoying. was any of this not obvious to anyone with a pulse? the post could have used a few more cliches i think:
-it's important for both teams to take it one game at a time.
-drake and creighton both have their backs up against the wall.
-it's gut check time.
-The dogs need to give 110%.
-They need to leave it all out on the court.
-They have to put their game faces on.
-They need to want it more.
-They need to bring their 'A' game.

I doubt Drake's scout would be able to incorporate the Bradley game, so it may be a bit of a crap shoot on predicting the CU chemistry. Either way, i don't see CU's defense being as good as UNI's or WSU's, probably more like IlSU -- plenty of quickness and effort, but not the best discipline.

| I already sent my e-mail to Joel. I've been listening to the P'oser until recently and it's not just about Drake. The guy truly has nothing to say about any Iowa team. the fact that he is beating the drums against Drake is the absolute last straw. he needs to be run out on a rail.

I couldn't stomach turning on the show...McB or GG or someone else, could you listen and let us know what advertisers come up during the broadcast???

| Perrault is not very talented or knowledgeable, regardless of his allegiences. He knows nothing about Iowa sports, and spends a dipropotionate amount of time disparaging the University of Iowa. He has bought in to the KXNO love affair with ISU, but I think that is probably a financial requirement at the station.
I know they had little time to obtain a replacement for Marty, but I think they could probably do better than Perrault. He sounds like he should be in a market more like Oskaloosa. Didn't he get canned in Omaha?
I'm sure KXNO has very little concern for Drake's fans. Sandy probably should be working hard to get a radio package going there.

"I enjoy your board but finally had to register to respond to this. First of all, I don't know where you got your info but Omaha doesn't love Matt. If Omaha loved Matt then he'd still have a show in Omaha. TrueBlueJay tried to commit suicide when Matt moved? I could be wrong but TrueBlueJay seems to have a problem with Matt more than most so I'm surprised to hear that. Some people in Omaha miss Matt but I'd say no more than half of the people you'd ask would say they don't miss him at all and are pretty happy he's gone. Matt is the most polarizing figure you can imagine.
If you don't like Matt then I suggest just waiting him out because eventually he'll screw up whatever he has and will probably be gone. First of all his show in Omaha. Matt came to Omaha after Creighton hoops had already blown up. He'll tell you differently as he seems to think he created the buzz but it was already there because of the Korver years. So anyway, he came to Omaha at a perfect time to capitalize on the interest in Creighton. He should have been able to capture the entire Creighton audience, plus a good portion of the Creighton fan/Nebraska fan audience, and if he did it well a decent amount of the simply pro-Husker audience. What he did was pretty much alienate all of his Husker audience, and even though he was pro-Creighton, pretty much half of his Creighton audience. So he couldn't capitalize on a golden opportunity and his show was cancelled.
Now, after you thought he was gone, he someone globbed onto the Bluejay Cafe. Now I'm not a long-timer like some of the people who have been on there, but that had been my go to site for the last 3 or 4 years, and now that is ruined. I used to check the site several times a day, now I don't check it much at all. He took a pretty large and successful site, one that used to have pages of fairly recent discussion, and killed it. I appreciate the guy who created the site, and can understand if he's making some money off of it now, but really wished he would have just asked for donations or something. So to get back to Matt, the site didn't have to be ruined. He had a golden opportunity to take a great site and add to it. All he had to do was write some articles, just let Freddie continue to keep running the site, and shut up. But he couldn't do that, he has to be all over that site. And now, as easy as that transition could have been for just about anyone else, that site is a ghost-town for the most part.
So, sorry for the rambling, just had to post my thoughts on Perrault since he's stolen a big source of enjoyment for me. And judging by all the people complaining to him before it was switched over, I'm definitely not alone. "
