Georgetown is not a possibility for us this year. Drake's last open spots are (were) Sept 18th and Sept 25th (source: Footballscoop.com open date listings). It appears that one of those dates will be DU's 11th game and the other will remain open.
Although I don't know if Drake still has an opening, I'll retract my earlier comment. Well, sort of.
It seems that Old Dominion recently pulled out of a previously scheduled 2010 game with Georgetown. Some Hoya fans (notably the ones at Hoyasaxa.com) think that leaves their team with only nine games. Georgetown's openings are in late October, but if Drake and another PFL team could work out something with Georgetown, I think there could be some horse trading with the PFL schedule to make it all work out.

| The rumor on the PFL board is that we'll be visiting Rob Ash & Co. at Montana State on Sept 18th. Probably true.
p.s.--an announcement is also on the Montana State board. Ash supposedly told players today. |

| I almost like the return game better, although I know the paycheck would be nice for Drake. It will be cool to go to that game in 2012.
If the Valpo game is really Sept. 25 that will be a difficult stretch. Three road game with Montana State in the middle. I am not complaining by any means...would rather see a difficult schedule than cupcake games. |

True friends of the program should pack Drake stadium on that day to support the Bulldogs and show appreciation to Coach Ash for his many years of great service to Drake University. Good for Drake, MSU and Coach Ash to get this home and home contract worked out! Having MSU really improves Drake's schedule a ton. |

| | Actually that was NDSU (North Dakota State) not UND (U of North Dakota). You are right though. NDSU is looking to pay for an opponent to come to Fargo for a game. |
