No, but they'll probably break it.

I have a feeling that they have a pretty good chance considering they are playing an extremely vulnerable team right now.

I still think we'll beat Iowa though. Uni? prolly not. Unless Ogresleder can come through in the "clutch" again.

I think the mismatch athleticism wise against ISU will be to much to overcome for drake to win. I do think they beat Iowa and UNI i think is a toss up.

I think Iowa State is going to be a tremendous team this year with the additions of Gilstrap, Dendy, and Colvin. Looking at our defense today, I don't know how we are going to be able to stop Brackins and Gilstrap. Hopefully we can get some things worked out defensively and continue hitting the 3 ball.

Agreed. I definatley think that if we can improve our defense, specifically our post defense. Then we might be able to pull a close one out.

That would be an awful lot of improvement to expect in 3 days.

Based on the "defense" I saw today, Iowa State will probably score 100+

Dear GOD I hope we can beat Iowa - and Binghampton.... I also hope we can beat ISU. Weren't both Iowa and ISU picked to finish last in their respective conferences?

I'm not sure about Iowa, but Iowa State was picked 7th in the Big 12. They are a much better team than they were last year, and they're much better than IUPUI.

ISU believes they have two NBA players. They'll probably have 30 uncontested dunks. Alex White where are you?

ISU is a TON BETTER than last year. I've watched all there games including exhibition and I think they will be a top 25 team this year. This is there best team since 2000.

From DU in the IUPUI thread:
I'm much more worried about the lack of adjustments by the coaching staff than I am in the poor defensive play of the young guys. Our basic defense obviously wasn't working. At all. Try something, anything, to change it up. Even if it's something the kids aren't real familiar with. It couldn't have been any worse than the defense we were playing.

I'm afraid this very same comment could be posted following Tuesday's game...

Interesting. Something I noticed yesterday was how much Phelps conferenced with the coaches before talking to the players during time outs. He barely had enough time to talk to them. I mean, he can do whatever he wants and I'm sure what he's doing is very important (cough), but shouldn't he be involving the PLAYERS - the people on the court?!?!?!!

It depends which team shows up for Drake. I would like to believe what we saw from the guys in the first half is what should be expected against ISU. If not, it'll be a long game. I don't know if they can beat even Iowa the way they played in the second half against IUPUI and forget about UNI!

Again, let's hope for more hot shooting like what was seen in the first half! Josh Young needs to play, too....

ISU ran out to a big lead against Idaho St and was played even in the second half. I was looking at last years game against ISU, and our 3 returning players are the leading scorers other than Bucky. So add Wedel to the mix with Wiesler, and our guard play is significantly upgraded. Now not having Bucky, and Brent. AW only played 10 min and had 1 block. the big hole is buckys 14 rebounds. I believe if Young plays and Wedel is the point, our guard play is better. We had 10 assists and 13 TO last year, if we open it up and move the ball, we can challenge them all over the court. The middle is a huge concern but get RU and SVD in the middle and challenge brackens, on offense our interior guys can score from anywhere on the court. Use our speed and agility to press and I like our chances. Strategy hangs on Young being healthy. Put our best defender on Staiger and get in his face he is their only real 3 pt threat.

Ignore the Photo, this is:
