Just 22 days until the usual gang of idiots will meet up in the West End Lounge.
My wife is begging to come, so there will be at least one person with a brain.
Tomorrow has arrived and the sun is up. |

| McB...how is that you are able to sell that (the pre-game meetings at West End)...when you, like me...are still bringing your family to the games? You make them come separately??
Just DU it !

Look ... I know how to set the boundaries.
I will add ... the entire old crew at West End is gone. Not one bartender is still there. If ... and I mean IF they are dorks, I tempted to start going down to Peggy's. The new owner is Grazziano (sp) and Aliou is the bartender through Happy Hour or until something like 7-8 pm. The extra 90 seconds of walking to the Knapp Center is worth it for Aliou. KILL, MAIM, DESTROY!!!!!!

| Aliou as our bartender? As long as they have Boulevard and liquid cocaine shots - pretty sure they do. Boom.

| | Alou is a very good and generous bartender. On the afternoon that McBulldog is referring to Alou mixed up some wonderful shots that had the desired affect. Add a few fat tires and well.......we were all well lubed. My vote goes toward moving the meeting place to Peggy's; with Alou bartending. I look forward to this coming season and getting together with all you nuts. |

Who's Alou? Moises Alou? Felipe Alou? Matty Alou? Jesus Alou? (baseball fans will know those names). Aliou is a helluva bartender, but not sure who Alou is.
It's definitely more than 90 seconds more from Peggy's to the Knapp than it is from West End. And, on those days when the wind chill is 30 to 50 below, even those extra 3-4 minutes outside will be brutal.

And....the parking lots for the Knapp Center are much closer to West End than to Peggy's. Actually, I usually park right in front on the West End to avoid the parking lots altogether. That means extra time in the cold going to Peggy's as well as going from Peggy's to the Knapp Center. Unless the new guys at West End are total a-holes, I think I'll stick to the West End. It's all about convenience, and I'm a lazy guy.

| Yeah, but you typed the numbers wrong.....
according to Mapquest, it's 0.17 miles from West End to Knapp, 0.36 miles from Peggy's to Knapp. Yeah, if it was 70 degrees and sunny, I wouldn't care about the extra distance, but in two feet of snow with 50 below windchill, I'm going where I have to walk the least.

The West End has always been ... and still is "fraternity-i'm-wearing-the-same-clothes pukes". It has always been owned by a Phi Delt, has always had only Phi Delts working there ... unitl a few years ago and now they have other frat members tending also. You dumba-s-s.
I never said I wasn't going to the West End. What I said is that the entire staff from the past is gone. If the "fraternity-i'm-wearing-the-same-clothes pukes" are going suck wind at running the West End ... then I'm going to Peggy's.
DT, I'm not sure where you get off on the "fraternity-i'm-wearing-the-same-clothes pukes" comment. You wear mostly Tommy Bahama clothing, inculding Tommy Bahama belts and shoes. If you aren't wearing Tommy Bahama then you have on Polo shat. You are the biggest frat geek I've ever met and you don't even see it. Then you get out your Pearl and Turquoise Harley and all of sudden you're a Hell's Angel riding a Biker Batch's Bike? PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!

| 3. McB got to the point where he just sat quietly and talked to Bucky's Dad. (Not a bad thing mind you. ) Why should we give up the West End just so he can go to Peggy's, sit quietly and talk to Aliou?
You only show up once or twice a year anyway ... ya know... when you aren't helping Mecha bake choclate chip cookies in a thong. Then when you do show up it freaks everybody out because they are wondering who is the geekazoid with the glowing teeth.
Was I quite last year? I doubt it.
