| Gordon Gottschalk (8/31/2009)
DUB, you just linked to your link of an "insider" article no one can read?
No, I linked to my link to his scout page that anybody can read. The page that says his interest in Drake is high and that he's visiting on 9/26.

| I think he is scheduled for the 18th.
The weekend after he visits UCONN.
If he wants a Pharmacy degree, Drake is THE place.
Do the research and DU's Pharm school outweighs UCONN ( and Virg Comm, for that matter) in ALL aspects.
Come on Michael.
You deserve to be a part of the Drake Family.

| Bradley is visiting Tennessee this weekend, UCONN next, and your own Drake Bulldogs on the weekend of the 18th.
He could be the steal of the decade.

| Ballgame2012 (9/4/2009) Bradley is visiting Tennessee this weekend, UCONN next, and your own Drake Bulldogs on the weekend of the 18th.
That would be incredible if Coach Phelps could get him to DU with the type of competition we're up against. Let's hope he just falls in love with the school, the city and the Drake team.

| Tenn and UConn are great basketball programs no doubt. It speaks volumes about the quality of player this young man is. That being said, they are large schools with severals layers of players ahead of him. At Drake he could get instant PT in a league the pro scouts are well aware of, a fabulous education, and the love and adoration of Drake fans everywhere. What more could he want?

| People keep asking me "do we really have a chance at this kid?" I think people assume that because there are some big-time basketball programs after him, that we can't compete. I disagree.
He has commited to visit Drake. Once you get a kid on campus, anything can happen.
Maybe a smaller school like Drake, with it's family atmosphere is what he's looking for, as opposed to the impersonal feeling at a huge state school.
I have a feeling that for some of these other schools, he's a fallback prospect....a guy they'll take if they get turned down by their prime targets. But, for DU, he's a prime target. Kids usually have a pretty good idea where they stand with the schools that are recruiting them.
Who knows where he'll end up. But, I give Coach Phelps big props for going after him.

| | DUBulldog is on target. Maury John always said that if he could get a kid to take a visit that he had a good chance of getting him to sign. Now we are getting some high quality kids to visit which I think means we will get some committments. I'm very optimistic |

| Michael, it's either you or Jordan. Which one of you is going to get there first? Either way, this is the best recruiting class since Pulliam, McCarter and Wright. Times a wasting and the Big Dance is calling. Get on board!

| According to Scouthoops.com, Bradley is visiting Georgia this weekend. He's been visiting a lot of big schools, but if we get him to visit, I like our chances. Big schools might look impressive on football Saturday. But, you gotta remember, most classes there are taught by grad students. At Drake, you actually have professors teaching undergrad classes. For the kind of guys that Drake is recruiting, that type of thing is important.

| Michael Bradley update from Rivals.com
link
The University of Georgia's men's basketball program hosted its first official visitor from the class of 2010 this past weekend and it was none other than Chattanooga (TN) Tyner Academy center Michael Bradley. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound senior made his way to Athens on Friday to see what the University of Georgia was all about. He got to meet with the Mark Fox and his staff, tour the pharmacy school, and attend the football game on Saturday night before returning to Chattanooga on Sunday.
The percentage of high school athletes who make it to the professional ranks in their sport is very low. Bradley realizes that and has a plan in place if basketball does not end up being his career. He plans on studying in the pharmacy school at the school he signs with. With that in mind, he checked out the University of Georgia's pharmacy program while on his visit.
Bradley is in the process of narrowing down his choices of schools and has his five official visits lined up. He has official visits set up to Drake, Connecticut , Virginia Commonwealth, and Boston College. When Bradley finishes all his official visits, he will make a decision on which school he will be attending next Fall.

| The problem with Georgia for MB is that he risks not being a feature guy. Imagine what impact he could have at Drake guaranteed. With the two recruiting classes there's a high degree of likely success where he would be a major player in the success from the beginning. Getting lost in Georgia doesn't seem very appealing from my point of view.

There is a lot to be said for the smaller, family atmosphere at Drake. We sometimes forget that these are young men, in many ways still kids, who are leaving home for the first time. The family-type atmosphere at Drake can really appeal to a lot of students who are away from home for an extended period for the first time. There's a reason that Drake's freshman-to-sophomore year retention rate is around 90%. Students feel welcome here. At a lot of bigger schools, it's just so easy to get lost in the crowd. At Drake, you're family from Day One.

I hope he loves it. It would be hard not to fall for a team knowing you are the final piece to such a great puzzle. |
