| Mc Bulldog (9/9/2009) A big-time scoring lead guard who can put points on the board with a nice bag of tricks offensively. He gets to the basket, hits mid-range jumpers and his range extends out to 20 feet..."
In McBull's link, Madison is listed as the #9 player in the state of Illinois and compared to Daniel Gibson. I like that. When's the last time Drake has signed a top 10 player in Illinois? Ever?

| We are shipping basketball water from Illinois to Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconson, Misery and shuckerta. Scientific studies have proven that NorthCarolina and Duke are bottling water from illinois to improve the basketball prowess of their MickyD All Americans. Even they know that Illinois rules. I might drink some meself. McBull and DU are already hydrated with Lake Michigan magic.

| | Would that be Leon Van Hook? From what I remember, he was a McDonald's All American coming out of high school. Was he top 10, all knowing one? |

| Great start to what appears to be another solid recruiting class by Phelps.
Top ten Illinois players - Could Big Ernie Banks have been top ten? (And that's a long time ago) |

Leon Van Hook was not a McDonald's All-American. I think he might have been 2nd or 3rd team all-city, so probably not a top 10 player in the state.
P.S. That's a name that shouldn't be thrown around lightly, the curse of Leon Van Hook is strong to this day.

| Thanks for the article. And here's a little gem to ponder as the season approaches: "Shanklin said Madison should fit well with Phelps' philosophy.
“I understand Coach Phelps is changing Drake’s offense to an open court situation,” Shanklin said. “I think he’ll be getting into the paint and kicking it out or finishing."

A dazzling floor leader who shreds opponents both with his ability to score, and also his ball distribution skills. A four-year varsity starter who will be looking to close out his high school career in strong fashion.
