| You talk about a mature, centered young man, we are very fortunate to have such a quality individual coming to Drake. He will be an asset to the community as well as a great addition to the team.

This newspaper writer breaks down the candidates for all-state honors in North Carolina. Here's what she says about Jeffers:
Averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five assists. Shot 42 percent from 3-point range. Scored 1,000 points in two seasons. NCISAA All-State 1-A pick. All-conference and all-league tournament selection. MVP of Greenfield Christmas Tournament with 31 points and 15 rebounds. All-area first-team pick by The Wilson Times for two straight seasons.
