Personally from what I have seen of it, which isn't much the entire AAU scam should go away! It's not good basketball, it's not for the kids in my oppinion but the coaches and sycophants.

| Got the real scoop now -
1- The gentleman who Sullivan mentions in his email is the guy who helped him get Kingdom Hoops established. He raised big time money for Sullivan, brought players into the program and, I've been told ... helped him get traction with a bank.
2- Sullivan broke away from the All Iowa Attack which is based in Ames to start Kingdom Hoops in Ankeny. The players in question are going back to the All Iowa Attack and will be coached by Lucky Moore.
3- These kids and their parents have devoted their lives to this and spent a considerable amount of time and money. They are in this for various reasons but probably the #1 priority is to get a schollie which equals a lot of money. When these players go to these tournaments it is important that they play well. There are dozens if not more in college scouts in attendance. From what I was told, Sullivan might make it to one game in a tournament and then he turns the coaching over to others who sometimes don't even know the player's names. How is a team going to perform when the coach is asking who is the point guard, the forward, etc. ?

| Hoover @ Roosevelt tonight, 7:45 pm, hope to see some Drake fans in stands. This should be a heckva of high school game. Like Drake, Roosevelt is playing a ton of sophmores. There will be a ton scouts there tonight.
Besides Big Pete there are fellow soph.s Peter Nixon and Tate Larson, both point guards. Another soph is forward Chris Bennett who I hear is really starting to blossom, prolly 6-7, 220. Sam Norman is another big man who I believe is senior. His Dad was the point guard at Iowa when Ronnie Lester and that gang were there.

| This is in no way 100% verified info. I've heard all sorts of rumors and nothing official. Evidently, no one likes the varsity coach at Roosevelt. All the coaches at Roosevelt resigned at the end of the season. I mean freshman, soph., JV, and all asst. coaches. All the parents, players, and the former coaches say the guy is a jerk all the way around. For whatever reason Roosevelt has not released the guy as the coach. It's not only Jok and Nixson who are leaving, there are probably another 4 or 5 players (maybe more) I've heard are tranfering also. The rumor at first was that Jok and Nixson were going to Dowling but now I've heard they are both going to Valley. I have no idea if any of this info. is accurate or not. I've heard most of it from 15-16 year old kids. It's really a bad deal because this is a group of kids that have played together for 10+ years and now it seems that the imcompetence of the Roosevelt High School admin. is going to tear this team apart. The principle at Roosevelt is Drake grad and former basketball player Greg Danielson's mother. I've heard rumors that the AD wants to get rid of the coach but Kathy Danielson wants to keep him. Again, I don't know if that is 100% true or not ... it's all just a rumor. All of this info.l could be wrong and it could be correct, I don't know ... just shat I've heard through the grapevine.

I guess the head coach, Chis McMann (sp) used to be the coach at Hoover and then went to Saydel before being hired at Roosevelt. Danielson is telling parents that the school is going to stand behind McMann because his asst. coaches were "undermining" him. She claims there is a lot of misinformation "out there" that is not true. I call B.S on Kathy Danielson's assessment. McMann is the one who picked his asst. coaches!!! Is Danielson is a Hoover fan at heart ... I wonder if that plays in to this? I wonder how she would feel if Greg had a dishonest, disrespectful, jerk coach, who didn't walk the talk? Bottom line is that if McMann leaves, all the players will stay at Roosevelt and if not they are all going to leave.

You honestly question the principles veracity, because you think she has loyalty to Hoover rather than Roosevelt? Seriously man pass whatever it is your smoking, because that's some good stuff!

She may have more faith in him than others, maybe this is her Sandy moment and he actually sucks, but to question her because you think she is loyal to Hoover is stupid even for you.
