| No game tonight. They must be working on when it will be rescheduled. KXNO just reported it as well.
As of 2:30, Evansville was still trying to get out of Eville. Iced in yesterday, no power at airport today.
Just heard rescheduled for 4:00 tomorrow, Thursday.

| I'm guessing this time of year you don't have very many good options to reschedule.
7:00 tomorrow would have been better, but Evansville has to get back to play a game Saturday and Drake needs to leave town as well.
I'm guessing they had to work around Evansville's ability to get to Des Moines and back in rescheduling.
Take an afternoon off and go support the Dogs.

Hopefully the students can get there...might as well let as many students that show up get in even if they have to sit in other spots. better to have as many people there as possible. Hey it could be worse.. remember last year there was a tornado in Atlanta and they had to play at Georgia Tech with no fans allowed in! |

My father is in town and I talked him into buying tickets, although I warned him that the game might get cancelled. He asked specifically and was reassured. He probably won't be in town for a make up game, and is livid that he was "lied" to. I asked if the ticket office would issue a refund for that particular circumstance and was told, in no uncertain terms, no, and that the back of the ticket clearly states that Drake reserves the right to change the time. I understand that they want to get the tickets sold, but this seems a little seedy. I suppose it wouldn't be any different at any other major program, but we're both a bit bothered by the situation.
SP, per Sandy, contact the ticket office, you and your dad should try again!
"Drake athletics director Sandy Hatfield Clubb said that Bulldog fans who had tickets for tonight's game, but who are unable to attend Thursday, should contact the Drake athletic ticket office."

| Could they have picked a worse possible time? So much for it being a home court advantage....there probably won't be more than 1000 people there......make Evansville forfeit the game.

| If you can make it to the game and still need a ticket, tickets are $1. They're GA tickets, but I'm guessing there will be lots of open lower bowl seats to sneak into.
The more I think about this, the more I think Drake gets screwed in this. It's probably at 4 because that's when UE wanted to play. Why do they get to decide when the game will be? Why didn't they leave earlier, or bus to another airport that is open? If UE really wants to get back tomorrow night, play the game at 6 (or at least 5) and make them fly back right after the game. Because of the 4pm game, Drake will lose their fans for the game, they'll lose ticket and concessions revenue, and they'll tick off the fans who want to go but can't make the game.

I don't want to be puny about it, but why not make Evansville forfeit. Now Drake gets their preparation screwed up for 2 games. |

Forfeiting is too extreme. Travel issues will happen for every team from time to time, and I would hope the rest of the MVC would work to reschedule games if needed. I'm a little ticked that it sounds like UE got to declare a 4pm tip time for this game, though, especially since I think UE could've tried a little harder to get here. Indiana played a game at Northwestern tonight, so apparently it was possible to escape that state.

That's just dandy. I'm sure they will re-schedule to a day I'm working. My f'd up week just got worse.
Glad to see someone elses week is going great too Gut. Sold some cull cows today which was a disaster. Evidently the fast food chains are still feeding us mexican beef yet. l get home and the hired man is quitting Sat. --- more frickin great news. Thennnnnnnnn l get on here and the game is canceled. A nice way to end the day. My Wednesdays are for the Drake games. l am ready to hang some Jays from the rafters at the Knapp. Finally found a decent game on ESPN Duke/Wake. lt was a dandy. You don't want to be #1 that's for sure. l hope most of you can make the game tomorrow l will be watching. |
