| Welcome to the world of big time recruiting. When you start getting a mentioned in recruiting articles with the big boys, you know you have arrived:
The tournament MVP easily went to David Brown of the Illinois Warriors. He had six three-pointers and 23 points in the title game and that was just the crowning on a fantastic weekend for the Warrior shooting guard.
As reported on Gopher Illustrated Saturday afternoon, Brown's play this spring has garnered him new offers from DePaul, Oklahoma State, Bradley, and Drake plus interest from Iowa, Wake Forest, and Marquette.

Drake has been mentioned with the big boys before. When Drake starts beating the big boys for recruits, then I'll know they've arrived. The Davis era wasn't exactly filled with high profile recruiting wars.
Thanks for posting. He looks like a talented kid. I wonder if Drake's interest in him stopped with the coaching change.

| I knew that he was listing Drake as one of his potential schools...but that was before the coaching change....not sure if Drake is still on his list.
Just as an FYI, he's not from Chicago, he's from the Rockford area, about 100 miles west and north of Chicago.

Glad you pointed that out. He can't be any good if he's not from Chicago.

If you say so. I was only pointing that out because the title of the thread said he was from Chicago.
